Here at Saicam bulldogs its all about improving the EBD breed. We try to find the best possible EBD for breeding. Breeding champion to champion results in champion.  Saicam’s last couple of breeding have been two outstanding studs, both have a clean bill of health and a healthy pedigree.  If you do decide to breed your EBD, be aware this is not cheap and lastly and most important make sure to compliment the breed by breeding the best to the best.  If it is your first time, take some time to talk to fellow breeder, do lots of research and most of all consider your bitches safety first.  Remember there is a ton of good pet quality bulldogs out there, please do not breed to try to make a quick dollar!

Health

The english bulldog is considered by many a family favorite pet, but there are some special needs to be considered for these dogs. English bulldogs are vey prone to cherry eye, where surgery for a single eye can range any from $750 to $1250.

English bulldogs are also considered “inside house” or as some describe them as “coach potato” dogs. English bulldogs also do not fair well outside in the heat. Many EBDs have died from heat stroke, or have drowned in pools while trying to escape the outdoor heat.

The are plenty of health concerns about EBD as there is with any other dog. This message is NOT intended to scare you away from buying and EBD, but to make you aware and knowledgeable about EBD.  Take time to look into what it takes to raise an EBD.   The main factor is consider is how healthy the the sire and dam are, BEFORE purchasing.

Breeding

Never buy puppies from malls. Time and time again these places have been known to get dogs from puppy mills. When buying an EBD, ask to see at least one of the parents, either the Dam or the Sire.  If  buying from a mall, there is a good chance you could be buying a runt or even worse a dog that will be sick all the time.  There is a lot of importers, who will buy an entire litter from overseas and try to sell them with a marked up price.  If you go to a website and it only has puppies no adults, more than likely its an importer.  If do find a good puppy from an importer, do your research and google the company and see if there are any complaints against them.

English Bulldog SCAMS!

Folks, there is no such thing as a cheap EBD. I hear stories all the time of how people get emails from someone in Africa asking for money to ship a free EBD. They will then make excuses of not being able to ship the puppy thus, asking for more money and more time. The main reason for EBDs costing so much is because of what goes into breeding them.

Breeding EBDs requires many trips to the vet for progesterone testing, inseminations, x-rays and even cesarean to deliver the puppies. This only a few of the many costs in breeding EBDs.
